finding beauty

finding beauty, receiving beauty

How do we learn Beauty? How do we find our own Beauty Truth?
In this workshop, we will re-examine and re-create our notion of what it means to be beautiful. Many of us have had our original and sensory experience of beauty spoiled by repressive appearance norms and perfect body regimes. Using simple writing, imagery, and art, we will work together to question the substitution of appearance for beauty, soften to our perceived flaws, and begin to find our own beauty truth.

finding beauty: befriending the body changed by cancer

What is beauty? Who decides?

For those of us with bodies altered by treatment, beauty can seem remote. Using simple art and writing techniques, we will begin explore what true beauty means, and find ways to befriend our changed body and access loveliness that endures.
